The Cowboy and His Elephant

The T-Cross Ranches got it's beginning under the ownership of Robert C. Norris in 1950.   Located just a few miles north of Pueblo, Colorado, T-Cross Ranches are comprised of several non-contiguous ranch holdings totalling over 63,000 acres.  The main ranch, featured in the picture on this page, is the headquarters ranch and the home of the famous T-Cross Quarter Horses.  Other ranches nearby and East of Colorado Springs are used for grazing over 1,000 cow/calf pairs and for haying operations.

The famous T-Cross brand was the first brand registered in the State of Colorado and is synonymous with quality in both its' Quarter Horse and cattle operations.

Robert C. "Bob"  Norris has a rich and prestigious history in the cattle, cutting and Quarter Horse world.  Serving as the President of the American Quarter Horse Association in 1982 was the culmination of year's of service to an industry he loves so much.  Bob is also a past president of the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association and is currently still a member and Honorary Vice President.  He maintains his ties with the National Cutting Horse Association as an active member and competitor and served that association as a director.   He currently holds memberships in a number of cattle and cutting horse associations.

Bob received the Record Stockmen Livestock "Man of the Year" Award in 1982 and the Colorado State University Livestock Leader of the Year in 1992.

The T-Cross Ranches has been nominated for AQHA's Best Remuda Award for 1999 which recognizes ranching operations who have produced their own breeding program of outstanding Quarter Horses used not only on the ranch, but having produced quality horses being used in competition around the world.

Within this website, we hope to introduce you to some of the finest Quarter Horses in the world, most of which have been influential in siring  top money producers in the cutting horse and reining horse industry.
