T-Cross gelding receives AQHA/PRCA Honors
Bobs Lena, bred and raised on the
T-Cross Ranches some thirteen years ago was just recently selected as the Steer
Roping Horse of the Year by the American Quarter Horse Association and the
Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. One of six timed event horses
gathering this honor from AQHA for 2005, Bobs Lena has served his riders well
for well over a decade. First ridden by Trevor Brazile after being picked
out of the herd by wife Shada, the granddaughter of T-Cross' Robert Norris,
Trevor used "Tarzan" in heading, heeling, calf roping and steer
roping. Bobs Lena's current rider is Cash Myers, who bought
"Tarzan" from Allen Bach, who used him for heading, heeling and calf
roping. Cash says "He's really quite and easy to get along
with. My neices and nephews ride him. My wife, Lacey, has told me
he's the only one at the house I can't get rid of because she can head steers on
him."
